MET DE AUTO NAAR GENT

Het centrum van Gent bevindt zich in een lage emissie zone. Gelieve te checken op www.lez.gent of u met uw wagen het centrum in mag.
Indien u reist met de wagen raden wij u aan om te parkeren in één van onderstaande parkings:
- Parkeer in de publieke Sint-Michielparking (€23,50/24h - Sint-Michielsplein 8);
- Of reserveer voor aankomst een parkeerplaats in onze private parking (€25/nacht Watergraafstraat 1). Een parkeerplaats reserveren kan door een e-mail te versturen naar welcome@1898thepost.com. Eens de reservatie gemaakt is zal u de nodige details ontvangen.

Gelieve er rekening mee te houden dat ons hotel gelegen is in een voetgangerszone.
✓ Neem één van de volgende autosnelwegen richting Gent:
- E40 (komende van Luxemburg): volg de E40 richting Gent/Aalst.
- E34 (komende van Nederland): volg de E34 richting Antwerpen/Gent.
- E17 (komende van Frankrijk): volg de E17 richting Lille/Rijsel/Kortrijk.
✓ Verlaat de snelweg nadat u het stadion van Gent (Ghelamco Arena) ziet liggen. Sla rechtsaf en
volg de rechterrijstrook om vervolgens de E17 te nemen.
✓ Eenmaal op de E17, houd links aan en volg Gent Centrum.
✓ Volg “Andere richtingen” (naast de brug).
✓ Sla linksaf bij de eerste verkeerslichten (onder de brug door).
✓ U bevindt zich nu op de ring van Gent. Ga verder naar Charles de Kerckhovelaan. Aan uw
linkerzijde ziet u het Citadelpark.
✓ Rij +/- 1 km door totdat u aan uw linkerkant een apotheek en een Delhaize-supermarkt ziet. Sla vervolgens rechtsaf naar de Bernard Spaelaan.
✓ Steek de brug over en rijd rechtdoor de Papegaaistraat in.
✓ Volg de Annonciadenstraat en de Gebroeders Vandeveldestraat.
✓ Sla voor het verbodsteken linksaf richting Onderbergen.
✓ De ingang van de openbare parking Sint-Michiels bevindt zich aan uw linkerzijde.
✓ Indien u een plaatsje gereserveerd heeft in onze privéparking rijdt u verder en passeert u rechts de Sint-Michielskerk. Sla af bij de tweede kleine straat, de Watergraafstraat (straat na het Ingelandgat). U bent nu aangekomen bij de ingang van onze privéparking. Voer uw persoonlijke code in om de poort te openen. Mocht u assistentie nodig hebben, bel ons dan op +32(0)9 391 53 79. Parkeer uw auto op de voor u voorbehouden parkeerplaats.
✓ Wandel over de Sint-Michielsbrug om bij 1898 The Post te arriveren.
✓ De ingang van het hotel is gesitueerd op uw linkerzijde voor de rivier.
✓ U bent nu aangekomten bij 1898 The Post!

BY FOOT FROM THE PARKING

From the Sint-Michielsparking (Public Parking)
✓ After parking, cross St. Michael’s Bridge, located to the left of St. Michael’s Church.
✓ As you walk across the bridge, the church will be on your right and the Graslei on your left.
✓ Once you’ve crossed the bridge, turn right and walk past the taxi stand next to the bridge.
✓ After passing the taxi stand, turn right again towards the riverside.
✓ The hotel entrance is located along the river, through the gates of our private courtyard.
✓ You have now arrived at 1898 The Post, welcome!

BY TRAIN

Once you arrive at Gent Sint-Pieters Station, you have several options to reach the hotel:

✓ By Tram:
Take tram no. 1 from the station in the direction of Wondelgem/Evergem. A tram departs every 7 minutes. The last tram runs at 00:50.
Get off at the Korenmarkt stop and walk 2 minutes to the left — you will see the hotel ahead. The entrance is located by the river, at Graslei 16.

You can buy a ticket from the vending machine on the platform (€3), or send a text message with “DL” to 4884 (approx. €2).
Tickets are valid for 1 hour after purchase.

✓ By Taxi:
Taxis are always available outside the station entrance.
If you prefer, we can book a taxi for you in advance.
Depending on traffic, a taxi ride to the hotel costs between €8 and €11.
Ask the driver to drop you off at the hotel entrance: Graslei 16.

BY PLANE

Arrival from Brussels Airport
By Taxi
Taxis are readily available outside the arrivals hall.
You’ll find professional drivers waiting at the designated taxi zone at the airport entrance.

By Train
Trains to Ghent depart from level -2 of the airport.
Take a direct train to Gent-Sint-Pieters Station.
From there, follow the instructions above under “Arrival by Train – From Gent Sint-Pieters Station.”

By Car from the Airport
Exit the airport and follow signs to the E40 towards E19 for approximately 14 km.

At Junction 10 – Groot-Bijgaarden, take the E40 towards Ghent/Aalst and continue for 44 km.

Then follow the directions provided earlier under “By Car to Ghent.”
